Frequently Asked Questions
I never been to therapy before. What is the first session like?
The first session is a gentle introduction to the work. It’s a space to begin building the therapeutic connection, explore what brings you here, and notice what support feels nourishing at this time. There is no expectation to share everything at once. We move with curiosity, care, and respect for your pace, allowing the work to unfold naturally.
Why is Bloom In Color Therapy and Wellness only private pay and does not accept insurance?
We believe that private pay gives us the ability to offer more flexibility on your healing journey and gives our clients an access of care that aligns with our values. Accepting insurance often involves limits on session length or frequency, a required diagnoses that pathlogizes your story, and reduced privacy due to insurance reviews. By staying private pay, the focus is not just on symptom reduction, but on creating a therapeutic relationship that supports growth and long term change.
What makes Bloom in Color Therapy and Wellness unique?
We are a boutique mental health practice designed to offer depth-oriented, relational care. The practice maintains a smaller caseload to allow for greater presence, individualized pacing, and a more personalized therapeutic experience.
Care at Bloom in Color Therapy and Wellness extends beyond the weekly session. New clients receive a digital welcome e-book with psychoeducation, reflective prompts, and optional worksheets to support integration.
Unlike traditional therapy models that prioritize efficiency and diagnosis, Bloom in Color Therapy and Wellness centers the therapeutic relationship, nervous system awareness and long term growth. Therapy is approached as an ongoing process, rather than a single weekly appointment.
I can’t afford the rates, but I am still interested in working with Bloom in Color Therapy and Wellness.
Bloom In Color Therapy and Wellness is committed to increasing access to mental health care. While our standard rates reflect the care we offer, we hold a limited number of reduced-rate spots to support access across financial circumstances. You’re welcome to reach out to inquire about current options and see what may be possible at this time.
I don’t identify as a woman and may not directly align with the specialties, but I love the vibe. Can I still work with you?
Of course! Bloom in Color is a space for those who feel drawn to the values and way of working here. While certain identities and experiences are centered, the practice is 100% rooted in inclusivity. If the approach resonates with you, we can explore together if Bloom In Color is an aligned fit for you and your needs.
